Dr. Wilbur Sine and Dr. Richard Gais launced Wedgewood Family Practice in 1979 with a handful of employees and a heartfelt
desire to care for the commuinty's health needs. In 2004, we celebrate our 25th year of our partnership and the continued
growth of the practice. Dr. Sine and Dr. Gais met at Scott's Run Settlement House in the early 1970's. That
relationship grew into a friendship and eventually a partnership. Intitially, Dr. Sine bought Dr. Thomas Howes'
practice upon his death in 1978. The office moved to its present location on Van Voorhis Road in 1983. In
1986, WWFP opened a second office on Willey Street, which then moved to Westover in 1994. Since that time, the practice
has continued to grow in both the number of providers and the variety of services offerred. As of 2004, we have 9 physicians,
3 physician's assistants, 1 neuropsychologist, 1 licensed professional counselor, 2 licensed independent social workers, and
1 psychologist. Both offices offer X-Ray and laboratory services.
